I recently installed Ubuntu 17.10.1 (Artful Aardvark) on my HTPC and it was awesome - good UI design, stable, clean, fast, does everything I want it. I also tried it on my desktop in the virtual box, and again, it is stable and good. I booted it on my Macbook pro from an USB stick, again, same experience. So, I had high hopes for the LTS version, and downloaded the 18.04 Bionic Beaver.

And it was complete and utter shit.

Doesn't work properly virtualized. Doesn't work properly on the Macbook Pro. Can't install it on the external SSD. Can't even boot it on the late-2010 Macbook Air. What the hell are those people doing? They the most stable version in years, and then completely wrecked it for the LTS? Isn't LTS supposed to be something that you do when you get something like Aardvark which is good and stable, and then freeze it for a few years while you experiment on the normal builds? The people running this are idiots. And yeah, while I was writing this the Aardvark booted just fine from a stick on the Mac Air, so no, nothing wrong with the hardware. The Beaver is just shit.

+Danijel Turina I didn't install it in the Virtual Box but I managed to install it on SSD from a USB stick. What kind of problems you're experiencing with 18.04? The worst kind of problem I experienced was like that sometimes GUI stops responding to clicks and when you take a look at the some of the consoles' output you can see ext4fs errors being reported but I think I managed to have that under control. And yeah, after I installed Ubuntu 18.04 I reconfigured it to Ubuntu Mate as I dislike Gnome 3.
- 2018-05-27T20:30:19+0000
+Ermin Hasičević The problems I'm talking about are quite basic - the machine gets stuck at boot, for instance, and at that point I just let it go, I don't bother with the diagnostics because it's not my fucking job; I do a few quick things, and if something breaks, I'm done with it and I don't go through it systematically enough to give a good error report. So yeah, other than not being able to boot it's fine. :) Also, it wrote grub on the internal SSD despite me explicitly stating I want it to use the boot record on the external SSD. But the Aardvark does the same thing. All in all, I tested whether Linux still sucks and yes, it does. Honestly, Jaunty Jackalope was much better and more reliable than this shit, it went completely downhill in most respects. I do like the Canonical-modded Gnome 3, though.
On the good side, the Aardvark works and looks great on my HTPC, which is at the moment the only Linux desktop I'm running. Also, I had no problems with Aardvark on the Macs other than it being unable to leave the system drive alone; it looks like the nicest Ubuntu distribution I tried after Jaunty and Lucid.
BTW I'm completely spoiled by fast computers. Trying the 2010 Air after working with modern machines is really funny, if you can see comedy in the rotating beach ball. :)

Yup, perfectly true. It started with "let's give the minorities rights", and evolved into "the majority is responsible for all evils". Not only is it the new "nigger" or "niggerlover" statement, it also reminds me of the 3rd Reich and the propaganda against the Jews. It's the kind of propaganda you use when you want to prepare terrain for genocide, and you want to make the victim feel morally inferior and unworthy of existence.

Stop whining. Those demonstration of huge masses of people are a way of showing someone that you have the power, and that's how the governments are overthrown, at least if they don't understand how this works. The implicit assumption of this is that the one you're protesting against will value your life and won't just shoot you, and that's where the "Palestinians" miscalculated: the Israelis have shown us all how it is to be done. The Muslims intentionally breed like rabbits in order to swarm the territory they wish to conquer in a Zerg rush. That's like they took Kosovo from Serbia, they simply made over ten children per family, all drowning in poverty, and sucking welfare money from Yugoslavia, essentially not caring how well the children turned out as long as there's lots of them. To Muslims, their children are a weapon of islamic conquest. The Israelis are the only ones that get it: if that's a weapon, it's a perfectly legitimate target. This is also an excellent example why democracy is dangerous: if everybody's vote has value, it's easy for an underclass that doesn't mind their children living in squalor to breed like rabbits in order to give them more bodies.
ps. Why did I put "Palestinians" under quotes? Because it's trickery, the word "Filastini" seems to be coined by the Arabs in order to imply that they are the successors of the Philistines, the supposed original inhabitants of the land before the biblical Exodus. This is not true. The "Palestinians" are in fact the Arabs who occupied the land during the Islamic conquest of the Middle East. They have no historic claim to the land, other than that they occupied it once the Romans dealt with the Hebrews. The only Muslim claim to anything is that of conquest, and so it's right and proper for Israel to apply the same rules to them. Of course, the Muslims don't like it because they are used to the position of being the slave owners, robbers and exploiters, they don't like being the victims for a change. I however don't have any problems with Muslims being the victims. In fact, I wouldn't mind if Islam vanished altogether, and I would see it as a great improvement.

BTW, regarding Muslims and their reproductive strategy, read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R/K_selection_theory

Essentially, I don't even have to explain why I hate humans who use r-selection strategy for reproduction, and why I think it degrades the overall gene pool and produces hellish conditions for everybody. Also, that's why I feel zero compassion for r-breeding populations who live in misery, because it's misery by choice and by design. That's how it works, you intentionally choose misery for your children just so that you could have many of them.

What I hate about the Russian media is that they are openly pro-islamic. This, for instance: the pastor in question is completely correct in everything he says (about Islam, at least), and they don't even attempt to disprove him, but the tone of the article is such that you would think he said something terrible. He did not, he criticised something terrible, which is Islam.

+Danijel Turina I guess that comes from the fact that Russia is allied with Syria and Iran?! Too bad that Israel decided to stand side by side with Satan.
- 2018-05-14T13:30:28+0000
+Ermin Hasičević Its difficult for me to criticise Israel since they are the only country in the middle east thats worth living in, and since they are also the only country that has the correct approach to Islam. But yeah, since they are married to America, they might very well go down together.
- 2018-05-14T20:41:19+0000
+Danijel Turina It might be that they made Israel country that's worth living in but it seems like they also boost their country's status by trying to bomb other countries they pick on, namely Syria now, and I guess they saved Iran for a desert (?), and it looks a lot like American way of spreading shitolistanitis all around the world so it makes them look better. Not sure what's their purpose in all that shit they're trying to pull there but I'd be convinced in the righteousness of the way they're dealing with Islam if they strucked heavily at the source of that evil death cult by kicking camelfuckers's
asses really hard. This way they just make look conspiracy theories about Rotschild/Rockefeller Ziobanksters totally legit and rational exp
